Seminar

Official Seminar

Research life in graduate schools are very different from undergraduates. We spend most of the daytime in the laboratory doing experiment. At first, you will be surprised at the seriousness and responsibility to the research (experiments, analysis, presentation, writing and so on), compared to lectures in undergraduates. Here, we introduce you a small part of the research life. We shall be grad if this page is helpful for you to select your laboratory.

Handouts of the past seminars are uploaded on (Internal page). You can refer freely in the institute.

Seminar for the Division of Nanoscale Science

Monthly seminar for the division of nanoscale science. The speakers are one or two members belonging to a laboratory. Presentation time is about one hours and the subjects are the latest results of their research.

Meeting

Katsumoto Lab. Meeting

Progress report at 3 PM on every Wednesday. We report the results to the other members and discuss the research. This meeting lets us know the results and techniques of other members, and we can get much advice. Of course, we communicate with each other and discuss the detail of each research on a daily basis. This meeting is an opportunity to summarize the results.

Joint Meeting with Iye Lab.

Progress report meeting with Iye Lab. on alternate Friday. We share many facilities with Iye Lab. In this meeting, we inform each other of the current condition of the facilities. In addition, we briefly report the results of our research.
